Such fun...

It has been totally crazy around here over the past few weeks. Sorry for not posting.

But during all the chaos, we had a great Halloween. We always go to a local church for a great carnival. All the kids loved it. This particular church has a Trunk or Treat, and they get trunk loads of candy! Little girl really got into the spirit of filling her bag with candy!

So.. we had Lazarus, Farmer Pop (he acted just like Pop) and the Little Princess who needed no costume this year!

Love my little ones. The older kids did a great job watching and helping out.

Canadians....

For the month of November Stampin' Up! is giving you wonderful people FREE shipping! Also don't forget the offer to everyone, buy 3 of SU's designer papers and get one designer paper free! This is a great offer on our wonderful papers! Please let me know if I can be of any assistance!

Blogger thoughts...

So one of my favorite scrapbook sites, The School of Scrap (www.theschoolofscrap.com) sometimes posts blog challenges for journaling. Today's was to tell about your family and what inspires me to scrap. Well that's an easy one.

I have a family of NINE, yes, I did say nine. They are all so unique and such awesome individuals. From my wonderful and loving husband, all the way down to my precious, but spoiled baby girl. I don't usually "pose" them unless it's for a holiday or family shot, but I get some great pictures of them from time to time. I started scrapbooking right before my now six year old was born. My sister in laws gave me a book with a few pages already completed, and it just grew from that. Now all of my children have books, more than one. I also have one for our family in general. I guess what I enjoy the most, other than the creative process itself, is seeing my kids (especially my youngest 3) drag around their big books and look at them. I love that when I'm gone someday (hopefully years from now) they can look at these and remember how much I loved them, and share that with their kids.

My scrapbooking led way to my stamping... and I love using it in my scrapbooks now. I also make lot's of cards, because although I love emails, there is nothing like a handwritten card. There is just something fun about getting something in the mail!

Have a great day and SCRAP or STAMP!

Thank You SU!

I am so pleased to announce that 12x12 in all colors are coming back in the upcoming new catty that will be released in January. As a scrapper, I was not happy when they stopped producing so many of the colors, but I am so thankful they are back! Thanks for listening to us SU!

Busy does not describe what...

has been going on around here. I'm dying to get some scrap/stamp time. I have some new sets that I need to cut out and ink up! But I did get a few minutes to play today and did these two really quick cards.

I love the bright colors. Ink: Tempting Turquoise and Pixie Pink. Cardstock: Tempting Turqoise, Pixie Pink, Winter White, Designer Series Paper: Petals and Paisleys, Stamps: Petals and Paisleys and Garden Whimsey, SU! Ribbon

Ok, so it isn't Stampin' Up!...

but I am an avid scrapbooker as well. I love scrapbooking expecially for my family and friends. Having seven children, I stay really busy to say the least. This paper is Cosmo Cricket and I used my Cricut for the title. Thanks for looking!

Simple and quick.

These were made rather quickly today with the Simply Sent set Simple Delight. I love that the set is so elegant, but also easily used for making masculine cares. I have many more "lady" sets than I do "manly".
The card on the left uses: Blue Bayou, Soft Skye, Close to Cocoa, and Whisper White cardstock, Blue Bayou ink.
The second card uses: Bliss Blue, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. I also used aged brads I had laying around and the ticket punch. Simple and quick a good combination!

Happy Birthday To You!

A few days ago our oldest daughter turned NINETEEN! Wow, how time goes by. When she came into my life she was nine. I can't believe ten years have passed and I have been blessed to watch her grow into a beautiful young woman. Here is the card I made for her special night, using all of her favorite colors.

Stamp set is Bodacious Bouquet. Colors used: Tempting Turquoise, Green Galore, Pink Passion and Whisper White. I embossed all the large flowers and love how it turned out!

Baroque Motif

I love this set. It is so soft and so much can be done with it. I have seen some beautiful cards made with this. I made this one very quickly, like 10 minutes quick! It uses the colors of Bashful Blue, Winter White, Close to Cocoa in cardstock. Ink is Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, and Bordering Blue.

Embossing is cool!

Here is another card made with Bodacious Boquet. It's a great set. So versatile. This card uses fourteen brads, Old Olive, Real Red and Whisper White ink and cardstock. I think my class tonight really enjoyed it, but it does take some work! The brads was an idea I picked up on another site as part of a challenge. I don't think I have ever used this many brads on anything before. But I love the results.
Card cased from Splitcoaststampers website, and altered.

Cards suited for a man...

I love this set, Noble Deer. It's been around for a while, but I still find that I use if often for cards made for men. I really like the soft tones of the Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock.

Wow Stamp Night!

Here is one of the cards we did for our WOW class last night. This is a criss cross card. I fell inlove with these cards. I think they would make BEAUTIFUL wedding invitations!

I love to stamp! I love to make cards.

I love being a Stampin' Up! Demo. Is there anything better than a piece of wood with rubber on it! I think not! LOL Here is a simple card I did a few days ago. Hopefully tomorrow I can post my Wow cards from our stamping class held last night. Beautiful cards if I do say so!

A few layouts...

This was a challenge for TSOS. My journaling is hidden on tags. It contains my feelings on turning 36, having my last child, and facing the new direction of my life. Pretty emotional stuff!
I do not do enough layouts about me. But I'm trying. The challenges help. I know that my history has to be left behind for my kids and grandkids. I just don't like pictures of me! :)

One Of My Favorites!

Completed this a while back, but it's become one of my FAVORITES!

Cayla was just two weeks old. So very sweet.
All of my flowers were cut with Cricut, and
I used my fingernail to "curl" the edges.
I just love how it all turned out.
Hard to imagine she is now one and I am so
very far behind! LOL

She's One!

Well just a few days ago, my sweet baby, and the caboose of the kiddo's turned one. She is beautiful, and perfect, and so much joy. I am thrilled God has so greatly blessed us with healthy kids. But the mom in me is so sad, as a part of my life that I love so much is now gone. I love being pregnant and the delivery and everything, I've been lucky. But it is time to move into a new stage of life, although I go kicking and screaming!

School has also began at our house so it's quiet in the morning. Well as quiet as it can be with a one year old, three year old, and six year old. But they are doing pretty good and their older sister's are coping with it all. Caden, my six year old is in first grade this year. He's so excited about doing school work. We will see how long that lasts. By next year I'll have another high schooler. So for now... I'll just enjly where we are. I hope to have a great year with lot's of fun and learning. Well I guess that is all for now!

Ten Months Old...

And growing bigger and sweeter every day!
Baby girl is the joy of our world.

She is full on the move, crawling, chatting and learning to stand.

Turning Six...

Today I have a six year old. How fast time flies. I remember being sooo excited when I found out we were going to be having a baby. Seven years has past since my last, so he was a joy! Now he's growing into a sweet boy with a gentle spirit. He loves the Lord, and his family, and I couldn't ask for more! Happy Birthday Big Boy!!!

Hot, hot, hot

yes, that is life in Alabama. It already in the mid 80's and I hate it already! I want to find my 'HEAVEN' which would be 70 during the day and 50 at night all year long! Ahhhhh...
Bitty Baby Girl is on the move. She is killing her poor mom by deciding to crawl, stand, and stop nursing all in the same week. She is so independant and smart. I know she is going to be a handful, she already is. But then she is so sweet and loving too; and her great smile and big brown eyes melt your heart.
Little Boy C just turned 3 and Big Boy C will be 6 in a few days. Bitty Baby Girl will be 9 mo in a few days as well, and it's really beginning to get to this mama. I am so blessed to have all seven of our great kiddo's, but seeing my "babies" getting older and growing, is getting harder on me as the days go by. Bitty Baby Girl was a surprise to us and I am so glad I was able to have one more baby. I guess one of my top ten questions for God is to know why He placed such a deep desire for babies and pregnancy in my heart. I sure wish it would kind of go away, so this mama heart didn't hurt so much.
I guess I'm feeling really melancholy today.

Shoppin, shoppin...

I have so much fun lately spending my bonus from our taxes! LOL. DH gave me a chunk to psend on whatever I wanted and I have enjoyed hitting every scrap store in town and online! He's a good guy! And I still have more to spend!

Now just finding time to sit down and get a lot of scrapping done! Luckily little girl is getting bigger so she is happy longer for me to get some things done! YEAH!!!

Here is a LO I finished this week. Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!

If you love scrapping and being challenged, come join us at The School of Scrap, it's just awesome. Geez, I never liked school until now! :)

Well, got to go for now, time to go Easter Bunny shopping!

Can You See The Pollen

I can't believe it is Spring, we had such a mild winter. No snow, once again, much to the dismay of my kiddo's. I'd love to take them to a big snow somewhere, just once for the experience. Every child deserves some snow at least once a year, don't you think?

In just a few days my youngest little boy will be three. Wow, how time flies. He is super cute, and has such a personality. I love scrapping him. Never know what type picture we will get, but it is sure to be fun and adorable. Kink of like this one!

And since it is Spring time, it's also time for Spring Break around one of my favorite places on the web, The School of Scrap. Our faculty is gearing up for a fun week... come check it out!

Spring Time....

Well it sure does feel like it, although we will probably have one more cold snap before it's Spring for good. The weather has been so nice and we have spent some time outside. We found a great new park about 20 min away and it is just awesome. The boys LOVE it. Although I keep finding myself wondering how I'll get my scrapbooking done if I'm always outside. I think when we go this week I'll carry all my Stampin' Up! stamps to cut out and mount. At least I'm being constructive. Little Bit loves outside too, she can't quiet figure out the sunshine though... doesn't understand why her's eyes won't open!

I've been challenged, by Kerri at TSOS to start of a BOM. I have never wanted to do one, but I am reconsidering. I do all these books for my kiddo's and am leaving behind my memories of them, but not of me, and maybe... I will have to think about it! LOL But I think I might begin that adventure. (Oh, my daughter isn't doing anything ugly with her hand, she was snapping to get little bit to look forward. lol)

Time Passes....

too darn fast! :) In just a few days my baby will be seven months old. Oh my how that stings my heart. She is such a joy and so beautiful. She is the best of all that I have had. She is our caboose though. It makes me sad. Sometimes I think I'm a nut for having such a desire for children. I mean goodness, we have seven... lol

Anyway here is a picture of my precious angel girl. I'm so in love with her. She just melts me heart with ever sweet smile!

Two years....

has it really been that long? I still find myself wanting to pick up the phone and call her. Wow... I guess the hurt really doesn't ever go away. Two years ago today, my grandmother passed away from a combination of cancer and hospital malfunctions (aka stupid doctor's and unclean hospitals). But anyway... her death has been the hardest thing I have ever delt with in my life.

She was more than just a grandmother, she was the cornerstone of our entire family. She was my source of strength and voice of reason in the worst situations. When anything went wrong in my life, she was there.

She was a woman of faith, and loved God with all her heart. She taught me the same thing. Grandmother taught me that there was never an circumstance where God could not win. That we may never understand His ways in every situation, but God is always in control.

I spent every summer and every afternoon with Grandmother, and there was always something special about it. Mom had to work, but we were never left without lot's of love and care.

If I could go back and "undo" any part of my life, it would have been my late teens and early 20's, where I didn't see her enough or spend time with her enough. I missed some great times, and that is something I can never get back.

I was fortunate in one thing, several years before she passed away, she filled out a journal that asked a question a week. It was awesome, and I learned much from it. It covered everything from childhood, her and my Pop, her belief in God, to how she felt as she was growing older. I cherish that book. I miss her.

Grandmother, I know you are with your Savior, and that gives me great joy. Your reward in heaven is great I am sure. Still, in my selfishness, I miss you. But I wouldn't ask for one moment for you to be back here.

Monday, February 26, 2007

Good morning...

I slept late today! Woo Hoo.... that would mean my little guys and baby girl did too! Big woo hoo! My sister in law and her children were visiting from Florida last night and it was wild around here. Mix my kids and her kids... and you are in for one noisy and fun night. But it's nice to see them, when it's usually about a year between visits!

I didn't get to scrap AT ALL this weekend, which makes me sad, but I hope to get in there and produce something wonderful today! I have all the inspiration I need from TSOS, I just have to get it done! With little ones in the house, scrapping is like trying to have a private moment in the bathroom.... it just doesn't happen! :)

Monday, February 19, 2007

Round, round baby...

That's how it's been around my house. Remember that song? OK, so I'm showing my age! lol It has been crazy around here, lot's going on: good, bad, and ugly. I have not had any time to do anything fun for the past few weeks, and it's been a bummer. I had hoped to get some scrapping done over the weekend, but my precious little angel decided to run a fever and develop Roseola instead! My sweet little smiling baby girl is a GROUCH!

In all that has been going on, I have to testify that God has been so good. A few days last week we had some "stuff" going on and just didn't see why God was working the way He was. I questioned Him in fact, I didn't see... my only question was "why?". Well let's just say He is an awesome God and His ways are not ours for sure. But we have seen Him work in ways we never imagined. All the "stuff" isn't over yet, for sure, but at least I can say I KNOW, THAT I KNOW God is good!

Here's a few LO's to share.

Friday, January 26, 2007

Oops... been too long.

I get so busy I forget to post all the time. Life is a rush around our house. Well with seven children, what else would I expect. I do find a few minutes in a day to scrap, although I wish there were more. I love scrapping my kids. I'm greatly improving on my photo's as well.

I've learned there is more to a picture than point and shoot! LOL. So I try to make each picture a good one that will leave a memory of the time and place it's being taken.

Sam's loves me, because I have so many photo's developed these days. I just had about 350 printed, and that's a small order. But I really need a day for someone special to take some of my little kiddies so I can sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time! LOL

Here's a special LO, I completed for my daughter's album. I'm trying to not rush through, and make it lovely. She's my last baby and I want all her memoried to be great!

2007... that number still seems strange to me...

I can not believe another year is already upon us. Wow, 2006 went by way to fast. So many good things happened last year. Two things stand out the most, although so many special things happened: 1) My precious baby girl was born; 2) My 5 year old boy asked Jesus into his heart to be his Savior.

I have some goals for this year... hope I can stick with them. First I want to spend more time in the Word and in prayer; to deepen my relationship with God. I also want to loose some "chubby". I must get on that one, it's a big one for this year. And I want to spend more time scrapbooking. I want to grow as a mom and wife too. I want to be there for them so that a day never goes by that they don't know how much I love them.

I am loving the scrap board I'm on. Haven't had much time lately to do anything! But things are a changing! I did actually get in to organize today! Yeah!!!

Well more later!
