She said...

Rarely, do I complete LO's for me. Anything about me... well scares me to death! I don't like having to have deep thoughts about myself....

But this was one of my challenges for the last From Here 2 Scrapternity crop. In my "She Said" LO, I wrote from my thoughts after graduation... what I would have said/thought. I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I challenge you to complete a LO titled "She Said" and link it here. At the end of May, I'll do a drawing for a great Stampin' Up! prize... come on... I dare you!

I know I have been missing...

I'm sorry. Life has gotten in the way!

We had a craft fair at our local scrap store on Saturday, so many nice things. I sold some hand made things, and my wonderful mom sold some of her rugs. (pictures coming)

Years back my grandmother bought a loom (big one) to make rag rugs. They are just beautiful and cover my house! Anyway, when she passed away, the loom sat all alone. But now that my mom has retired, she has been busy learning and weaving. And OH MY has she made some lovely rugs! I'll be posting some pictures soon.

But for now, here are a few cards I've made recently. Our next Card Class is going to be May 5th. Contact me if you would like any details!

Come Crop With Us...

From Here 2 Scrapternity is having our monthly crop this weekend! Lot's of great prizes, and lot's of fun challenges and games! If you are dying for some inspiration, come join us!

More LO's...

I am so glad I have finally found a little time to get some scrapping done. Both of these LO's are of my kiddos several years ago. My now 15 yo had her hair high lighted for the first time ever.
Little guy... wow, his hair was so curly! He was happy as can be eating these chocolate chip cookies! Love this paper too! :) Thanks for looking.

I was able to accomplish a little on Saturday...

I finished a few layouts. I am working on newly developed photo's as well as some that have just been sitting.... but I am getting there! I am so far behind and it is time for some spring pictures too! Oh well, enjoy the layouts! :) When the boys take a cute picture together, I always make two copies, one for each book!

Quick Card

share for today! I love the new border punch from SU! I think it is so elegant, makes almost anything look great.

This is a card I made using ur new Thoughts and Prayers. It is so quick and simple, yet looks so nice..... well I decided to make it in another color too! :) All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Weekend Crop at FH2S...

The first two of these LO's were challenges at last weekend's crop. I'm so thrilled that we will be doing online crops each month at From Here 2 Scrapternity. Such an amazing group of ladies. We are a little small in number, but there is some amazing talent there! Come join us!

Thanks for looking. I'll have some more Stampin' UP! Cards and goodies to post later this week! I am so very far behind. :)

Le Jardin Botanique...

is a lovely new set by Stampin' Up! I love this set and especially the quote by Martin Luther. Thanks for looking.

Quick Cards...

Just had a little time to post. Sorry I have been MIA. I've had several card orders and have been running wild! Here are a few I made for a gift for a 8 yo boy. Some of the stamps are retired, but some are not. The current set used is Cheap Talk (little birds). This set is adorable and you can do so many things with it! Thanks for looking and keep on stamping!

Another LO to share...

I'm so glad I have had some time to scrap. Honestly I need to work on my card orders! But I love scrapping and I am soooo far behind. This is from 2006, when Caden met his baby sister for the first time.

Crazy life of mine...

We have had some "stuff" going on around here and had to deal with some things. My wonderful husband is still looking for a job since his company closed their office here in December. I can say however, that we serve a great God, who has taken care of us and supplied our needs.

I have been stamping like a fool, for orders that have been placed, and have some pics to share soon of several things. But for now, here is another LO for a challenge at my favorite place on the web, From Here 2 Scrapternity. Thanks for looking!

I've been sick!

And that is an understatement! I'm sorry I have been MIA for so long, my kids were sick for what seemed like forever... then... I got sick. And I must say I have not been this sick in, well I couldn't even tell you. I spent days in bed... So I promise, to begin posting some lovely new things in a day or two.

I did however drag myself out to finish one layout for my Inspiration Team at From Here 2 Scrapternity. I scraplifted this layout:

Isn't this just the cutest LO? Cayla's first egg hunt this past Easter. (yes, I'm way behind.) Everyone take care and I'll be back soon with some of the new Stampin' UP! papers and stamps!

The new catty is here....

and wow, there are some amazing new sets. There is something for everyone I promise!!! If you would like to download the online catalogue, please go here: http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/SS09_US.pdf

If you are interested in ordering a catalogue or other products, feel free to contact me at creatingsensations@bellsouth.net You also can order online from my Stampin' Up! website www.vanessacarlson.stampinup.net

Enjoy!

Some Layouts!

I finally got to finish a few Layouts! Wooo Hooo! Thanks for looking. More cards later. :)

Finally, some new things!

Here are a few cards I made recently. Check back after the weekend, because I'll have my new Kit's By Mail up and ready. Thanks for looking and as always all supplies are Stampin' Up! These cards use the lovely stamp set: Eastern Bloom

No more Christmas cards! :)

Well even as much as I love Christmas and the colors of Christmas and making Christmas cards... I am glad to do something else!

This is a really quick and simple card, but I love it. This uses brayering, in which I'm just not very good at "yet".

Here is what I used: Cardstock: Basic Black, Pretty In Pink, Glossy White; Ink: StazOn Black, Pretty in Pink; Brayering, Winter White Grosgrain Ribbon, Snail Adhesive.

Come back soon!

Merry Christmas!!!

Hello to all! I hope and pray that today is happy and blessed for you all! What a wonderful day to spend with family... and celebrate our Savior! I am constantly amazed that a baby came to earth, and grew, and was a sacrifice for just me. (you too) Emmanuel, His name is called Emmanuel! God with us, abide with us!

I will be posting the January kit this week. I'm a bit behind, but wow, has it been a busy month. So be watching!

And for those who attend my local classes... we will have the schedule up soon! The new catty is coming soon! YEAH!!!

Well, back to my family for some fun and food and grand old time!!! Merry Christmas!

A really quick LO...

This is all SU paper, although the PP is a retired line from last year, but I love it!

This was for a challenge at http://www.fromhere2scrapternity.com/ where I am an IT member.

I love making Christmas cards...

and yes I admit some of the colors and papers are retired, and some of the stamps are retired, but I just love them and will use them while I can! Especially Frosty... I have always adored this snowman stamp! It's just great to use for anything.

Well, I just had to share what fun I've had the past few days completing orders for cards, now maybe I can finish my own! Maybe I should make them all Happy New Year, just in case! :)
Thanks for looking!

Paper's been a flyin'!

Well at least this week it has been. My craft room looks like a hurricate hit a paper factory! I've had several orders for my cards as gifts and for Christmas, and I've been busy! Just thought I'd share. These are just some that will be gifted. Maybe tomorrow I can start sharing Christmas ones IF I can get things organized. I love this set "A Rose Is A Rose", it makes such lovely cards. If you would like to know details of this card, please email me: creatingsensations@bellsouth.net Thanks!

Seeing Stars...

I just adore these beautiful stars made with Stampin' Up! Designer Papers. They are perfect on the tree and add such a nice touch. And even better they are super easy to make. Email me if you would like the directions: creatingsensations@bellsouth.net

A few more layouts for you...

These are both LO's of my little bit... but it was last Halloween! She's such a cutie isn't she? This is a Pebbles Inc. kit mixed with my Stampin' UP! Cardstock. I just love how Stampin' UP! has colors that will match any type patterned paper out there! I never have to worry about not having a color! I also used our soft set eyelets.... so much better than any others! Thanks for looking!

JOY.... such a sweet girl I have...

Just wanted to share a LO that I finally finished. This picture is from last year. I just loved the look on my little girls face as she came into the living room! This is for the current Scraplift Challenge over at FH2S where I am on the IT. Thanks for looking!

The majesty of God's creation...

We were able to spend a little time at our precious Heritage Acres, otherwise known as the "cove". We just love it there. Was my grandmother's favorite place in the world to be... so it's even more special. The trees and their color were beautiful for Alabama. Nice cool afternoon and night air just right for a little fire and roasting marshmallows! :)

Here's a few pics.

Stair Step...

here is another cute stairstep card. I'll try to post details by the weekend. Sorry, this week has been complete chaos! :) I actually have several new things to share with you gusy!

I can't wait for our Card Buffet on the 11th. It's going to be sooo much fun!
