and a graphic to share! I have my scrapbook room cleaned out and organized, and although life is still changing rapidly.... I promise myself to scrap at least once a week. That way, I'll catch up by the time I'm 199. :)

Sixth Birthday Happiness!

I can't believe it has almost been a year... she will be seven in just a few weeks.  This precious little girl has my heart all wrapped up in a bow! :)

Just a quick digi.... looks like with all the changes my life has held the past year.... digi scrapping is going to have to be my fall back! :)  Now to get better at it! :)

I Did Something...........

With all the changes in my life, I can't "paper" scrap right now.... so, digi is the way to go.... (at least until I an return to my heart (paper).

But I scrapped a page for my son.  Oh my goodness he looks so mature and handsome in this picture.  Can't believe he is only 11..... makes this mama's heart hurt!!!!

Wow....

As I look at my website, I want to cry.  I can't believe I have not crafted anything in so many months!  Life has just taken so many twists, there has been no time.  However, I am finding my way to a more "normal" schedule in the mass chaos that is now ours. :)

So this weekend... I will create!  See you soon!!!!!

But I have been creative.  I'm in love with making these cute "quote" layouts.  Love using my digital scrapbooking supplies to make these "posters".... such fun!

It feels sooooo good...

to do some scrapbooking again!  "Life" has been in the way for far too long.  Goodness, I enjoyed sitting down and creating last night.  It was great, kids in the room playing, Buttercup my English Bulldog at me feet... ahhh..

These are my five kiddo's still at home... from my 18 year old daughter down to my 5 year old daughter and all in between.  :)  My two away from home are both married. :)

My site has been very quiet for a while... but that's all going to change really soon!!  Our household has taken lot's of twists and turns the past few months, most recently with my own health.  And in some of my down time waiting, I've realized I've been missing out on some things I really love.

Crafting is one of those things... so I'm hopping back in with Memory Works, and will be creating much more as I have time.  I hope you will join me again!  I've missed my "friends"!  More soon!

The ingredients:
6 inch x 6 inch square of double-sided designer paper, Sticky Strip, Mini Glue dots, SNAIL Adhesive, 1/4 inch circle punch, 1/2 inch circle punch or button, Inkpad to match paper, dauber, cord (for hanger), Stapler.




Score paper at 1 inch intervals. Accordian fold along the score lines.

Make a small pencil mark at the 3 inch point on the folded paper. Staple on the mark.

With the folded edges away from you, mark ½ inch on either side of the staple (i.e. the center).

Cut from this mark on the bottom edge to the top corner. (Basically cut diagonal, this gives the points.)  

Repeat for both sides.

Put sticky strip along one side.

Remove red liner and press the two edges together to meet evenly.

Use a dauber to shade the folds and edges with ink.

You can use the punched circles or buttons to put in the center of the star.
