Blogger thoughts...

So one of my favorite scrapbook sites, The School of Scrap (www.theschoolofscrap.com) sometimes posts blog challenges for journaling. Today's was to tell about your family and what inspires me to scrap. Well that's an easy one.

I have a family of NINE, yes, I did say nine. They are all so unique and such awesome individuals. From my wonderful and loving husband, all the way down to my precious, but spoiled baby girl. I don't usually "pose" them unless it's for a holiday or family shot, but I get some great pictures of them from time to time. I started scrapbooking right before my now six year old was born. My sister in laws gave me a book with a few pages already completed, and it just grew from that. Now all of my children have books, more than one. I also have one for our family in general. I guess what I enjoy the most, other than the creative process itself, is seeing my kids (especially my youngest 3) drag around their big books and look at them. I love that when I'm gone someday (hopefully years from now) they can look at these and remember how much I loved them, and share that with their kids.

My scrapbooking led way to my stamping... and I love using it in my scrapbooks now. I also make lot's of cards, because although I love emails, there is nothing like a handwritten card. There is just something fun about getting something in the mail!

Have a great day and SCRAP or STAMP!

Thank You SU!

I am so pleased to announce that 12x12 in all colors are coming back in the upcoming new catty that will be released in January. As a scrapper, I was not happy when they stopped producing so many of the colors, but I am so thankful they are back! Thanks for listening to us SU!

Busy does not describe what...

has been going on around here. I'm dying to get some scrap/stamp time. I have some new sets that I need to cut out and ink up! But I did get a few minutes to play today and did these two really quick cards.

I love the bright colors. Ink: Tempting Turquoise and Pixie Pink. Cardstock: Tempting Turqoise, Pixie Pink, Winter White, Designer Series Paper: Petals and Paisleys, Stamps: Petals and Paisleys and Garden Whimsey, SU! Ribbon

Ink: Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust. SU ribbon, SU buttons, Lg and Sm Oval Punches, Word Window Punch. Enjoy!

Ok, so it isn't Stampin' Up!...

but I am an avid scrapbooker as well. I love scrapbooking expecially for my family and friends. Having seven children, I stay really busy to say the least. This paper is Cosmo Cricket and I used my Cricut for the title. Thanks for looking!

Simple and quick.

These were made rather quickly today with the Simply Sent set Simple Delight. I love that the set is so elegant, but also easily used for making masculine cares. I have many more "lady" sets than I do "manly".
The card on the left uses: Blue Bayou, Soft Skye, Close to Cocoa, and Whisper White cardstock, Blue Bayou ink.
The second card uses: Bliss Blue, Close to Cocoa, and Very Vanilla. I also used aged brads I had laying around and the ticket punch. Simple and quick a good combination!
