My favorite birthday...hmm. I think my 12th birthday was pretty fab. My aunt had horses, so all my friends went out and rode, and we swam, and hit a pinata. I know, cheesy, but i still have the pics and look at them occasionally! How simple childhood was.

This is crazy, but on my 7th birthday my best fried John showed up with a snake in his pocket for me! A real, live snake! We all thought it was fabulous until he took it out to hand it to me and it bit him and wouldn't let go. Yes, a trip to the ER on my birthday, but it sure made for a memorable occasion! No one since then has ever brought me a snake (very big grin).

My favorite birthday was when I turned 21. Most people where I grew up would just go out and drink. I had a way different experience.
My second oldest brother had moved to Seattle from our home town Missoula, MT. So I'd go out and visit him during Christmas break. I was instructed to bring a nice dress and the accessories and told nothing else. So I got dolled up and we hopped in his truck. We drove for an hour and my anticipation was killing me. Then he stopped and asked me to put a blind fold on. Then he drove on and I could tell we were in a parking lot, as the truck slowed and turned, etc. Then he took off the blindfold. Before my eyes, was a beautiful black train engine and a beautiful bunch of dining cars trailing behind it. He got us reservations for a dining train and it went up to Woodinville, WA. We ate a delicious dinner in the 1st class area. It was amazing to see the scenery and cross over a wooden train truss over 100 years old. Upon arriving at Woodinville, the train turned around and then we departed and had a tour of the winery, tasting wines and learning all about it! Then after that, we boarded the train and had birthday desert. It was one of the most amazing and loving things anyone has ever done for me.

I don't recall what age I was but I remember all of my friends were there, we played games and had the best time.

My brother is 3 years younger and our birthdays are only a week apart. Growing up we had to share a party. My 10th birthday, I finally got my own party!! Definitely a great memory. Lisa

My favorite birthday was just a few years ago. I lived in PA and all I wanted was to touch the ocean since it had been awhile for me...well being in PA, that was not gonna happen. My dd who was 8 at the time went around our house, collected everything she could that looked ocean-like, a blue sheet, decorated my room to look like I was the beach and even drew some fish to hang around. It was adorable, thoughtful and creative all at one time. I hope to never forget that!

My favorite birth day was the day I had my daughter but I'm pretty sure you meant my own birthday favorite..LOL. That's harder. My favorite was a family celebration we had when I was about 11. My sister and I shared birthday parties so we had the whole family. Lots of fun and hoopla. Since neither of us liked cake my mom and dad bought a watermelon and drilled holes in for the birthday candles! that became a tradition for yyears!
